Berlin Event Venues 2026
From the Staatsoper Unter den Linden to the Olympiastadion and the Alte Försterei — discover Berlin's most legendary stages and stadiums, and find tickets to every event on the calendar.
Few cities in Europe offer a catalogue of venues quite like Berlin. A 1742 opera house that hosts Wagner and Mozart six nights a week. The Olympiastadion that remade modern stadium architecture. An Alte Försterei whose standing terraces remain among the most atmospheric in European football. And a Waldbühne open-air amphitheatre where 22,000 people gather under the pine trees. This is the map of live culture in Berlin — and every ticket on this page gets you through the door.

Staatsoper Unter den Linden
The Staatsoper Unter den Linden is the oldest of Berlin's three great opera houses and the beating heart of the city's classical calendar. Commissioned by Frederick the Great and opened in 1742, it was the first freestanding opera house built for a European capital — and almost three centuries later, it still defines what an opera house can be.
The main hall seats 1,356, meaning every seat is close to the stage: acoustically honest, visually intimate, with the Staatskapelle Berlin in a pit that is rebuilt, retuned and respected like no other. Inside the same building, the elegant Apollosaal hosts chamber concerts, recitals and the annual Barocktage festival.
Today the house stages Mozart, Verdi, Wagner, Puccini, Strauss and Britten alongside carefully revived rarities — and every matinée, every premiere, every New Year's concert in 2026 is available through the box office pages linked below.

Where Berlin Plays — and Cheers
Berlin's largest stages are not theatres — they are stadiums. The Olympiastadion Berlin, built for the 1936 Games and now Hertha BSC's Bundesliga home, holds 74,000 and has hosted the DFB-Pokal final since 1985. Across town in Köpenick, the cult-status Stadion An der Alten Försterei — with its wooden bench seats and 22,000-strong standing terraces — is where 1. FC Union Berlin turn every matchday into a genuine piece of folk theatre.
For concerts and touring shows, the Uber Arena (formerly Mercedes-Benz Arena) is Berlin's indoor arena of choice — a 17,000-seat venue that has hosted everyone from Taylor Swift to Depeche Mode. And the beloved open-air Waldbühne, tucked into the pine forest beside the Olympiastadion, remains one of Europe's most romantic summer concert amphitheatres.
Every event in this section — from Bundesliga matchdays to arena tours and summer concerts — can be booked directly through the tickets box below.
